This study will reveal the meaning of the symbols, statues and attire used by the Pope and priests, as they reveal what the Papal Church is really worshiping.
For thousands of years Pagan religions have used symbols to show which gods they worshiped. These symbols were declared openly in Egypt, Babylon, Rome and other cultures.
These symbols are still used today, but their true meanings are hidden. Most people typically don’t notice the symbol or they have a positive impression of it.
The enlightened understand the meaning behind the symbols, and they use them to communicate with others.
Leaders of a Christian Church should not have anything to do with the symbols of pagan gods.
“For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God.” 2 Corinthians 6:14,16
If you’re Catholic, ask yourself why the leaders of the Roman Catholic Church are using all of these symbols of pagan gods.
The Zucchetti which is worn by Catholic priests, cardinals and the Pope, represents respect, fear and submission to Cybele, the Mother Goddess of Rome.
The Cap of Cybele is one of the oldest and most sacred pagan religious symbols of humanity, dating back to 2,000 B.C.
The skull cap was worn by the sun priests of Egypt.
It is a thin, slightly rounded skullcap now commonly known by various titles including the Yarmulke (Jewish) and Kufi (Muslims).
The Roman Catholic Church calls it the Zucchetti.
Vatican Hill was the site of the largest ancient temple to Cybele. Ashtoreth the goddess of fertility, sexuality and war; was known as Cybele in Rome.
The Bible warns against worshiping her, “Then the children of Israel again did evil in the sight of the LORD, and served the Baals and the Ashtoreths.” Judges 10:6
The Bible declares “For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God.” 1 Corinthians 11:7
Ask yourself, why do Catholic priests, Bishops and the Pope, wear the Cap of Cybele?
The Mitre hat that is worn by Catholic priests, cardinals and the Pope, represents Dagon the Babylonian fish god.
The ancient Babylonians worshiped Dagan, the god of agriculture, plenty (food) and good fortune.
The Babylonian priests wore a headdress that represented the worship of Cybele and Dagon. It featured an open-fish mouth on the head, with the rest of the fish body forming a cloak.
In the Roman Empire, it was worn by the head priest of Cybele (the Magna Mater) or the Great Queen Mother Goddess.
Today the Catholic Cardinals, Bishops and the Pope all wear the open fish-mouth mitre, which represents the worship of Cybele and Dagon.
The Mitre hat of Dagan is always worn over the Kippa of Ashtoreth/Cybele, as you can see in the picture of Pope Francis I.
God warned the Jews not to worship the gods of Babylon, ” I will pronounce My judgments on them concerning all their wickedness, whereby they have forsaken Me and have offered sacrifices to other gods, and worshiped the works of their own hands.” Jeremiah 1:16
Ask yourself, why do Catholic Cardinals, Bishops and the Pope, all wear the mitre of Dagan?
The Obelisk in St. Peter’s Square represents the worship of the Sun god.
Obelisks were prominent in the architecture of the ancient Egyptians, who placed them at the entrance of a temple, marking it as a zone of sun worship.
They represent the Sun God Ra, the Egyptians’ greatest deity; the creator of humanity, the source of all heat and light, the being on which man was totally dependent.
An Egyptian obelisk sits in front of the Pantheon of ancient Rome, which housed statues of their pagan gods. The obelisk was originally constructed by Pharaoh Ramses II for the Temple of Ra in Heliopolis. It was brought to Rome in ancient times where it was used near a shrine to the Egyptian god Isis.
The Pantheon was dedicated to pan theos, meaning “all the gods.” When it became a Roman Catholic Church, it was dedicated to the Virgin Mary and all the martyrs.
The most well-known Egyptian obelisk was re-erected in 1586 A.D., in front of St. Peter’s Basilica. It is surrounded by a sun wheel, with the points lining up with the Vernal Equinox, the Summer Solstice and the Winter Solstice.
.
During the sunrise on the Vernal Equinox, the sun causes the obelisk to cast its shadow towards the dome of St. Peter’s Basilica, which represents the sexual union of the sun god and moon goddess.
God’s 2nd commandment says, “You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God.” Exodus 20:4-5
Ask yourself, why does the Catholic Church venerate pagan monuments to the Sun god?
The six-sided star is the supreme symbol of Satanic tyranny.
The hexagram has been used by people such as the pagan Babylonians, Egyptians and Assyrians, to directly or indirectly worship Satan.
Helena Blavatsky wrote that “Lucifer is the true God“, and she incorporated the hexagram in the emblem of the Theosophical Society, which she founded in 1875.
Satanists, Luciferians, astrologers and witches use it to invoke the power of demons.
The six-sided star numerically equals 666 (6 points, 6 triangles, 6-sided hexagon).
Christians pass it off as the ‘Star of David‘ but the truth is that King David never used a star, so calling it a nice sounding name hides what it really represents. King Solomon used it in witchcraft, magic and idolatrous worship to Ashtoreth and to Moloch.
Stephen accused the Jewish leaders, “And you took up the tent of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, the figures which you made” “in order to worship them.” Acts 7:43
Ask yourself, why does the Catholic Church use the Satanic six-sided star?
The eight-pointed star represents the pagan goddess Ishtar, the lightbringer.
In Babylonian symbolism, the goddess Ishtar is represented by an eight-pointed starburst, and she is associated with the planet of Venus.
Ishtar was the Babylonian High-Mother-Goddess, the goddess of fertility, love and war. Her cult was the most important one in ancient Babylon.
An eight-point star enclosed within a circle is the symbol for the sun god, as it’s points represent the solstices and equinoxes.
The “Babylonian star-cult is the core and the archetype of subsequent astrology.”
At the center of St. Peter’s Basilica, the Pope sits in the middle of eight 8-sided stars.
Ask yourself, why does the Catholic Church use the eight-pointed star of Ishtar?
The Maltese Cross represents Shamash, the god of the Sun and Justice.
In the image, an ancient Assyrian king is wearing a cross on his chest, just like the one seen on the Pope’s robe.
Shamash (Akkadian Šamaš “Sun”), was a native Mesopotamian deity and the sun god in the Akkadian, Assyrian and Babylonian pantheons.
Shamash was the god of justice in Babylonia and Assyria, corresponding to Sumerian Utu.
This cross was identified with a Sun god eight centuries before Christ and long before it was called the Maltese Cross by the Knights of Malta.
It’s also called the Iron Cross. Roman Catholic Adolph Hitler renewed use of the Iron Cross in 1939 and superimposed the Nazi swastika in its center.
Ask yourself, why does the Pope wear the cross of Shamash the Sun god?
Pine cones symbolize the worship of the solar god Osiris.
Pine cones are associated with spiritual enlightenment by ancient Babylonians, Egyptians and Greeks. They represent the mysterious link between the physical and the spiritual worlds, which can be found in the human brain, in the pineal gland.
The pine cone staff is a symbol of the solar god Osiris and originated in Egypt where he was their messiah who died for his people and whose Mother, Isis, was worshiped as the Virgin Mother.
The Vatican also has the world’s largest pine cone that once decorated a fountain in ancient Rome next to a vast Temple of Isis.
At the Old St. Peter’s Basilica, it was dedicated to Attis, son and lover of Cybele. The Catholic Church then relocated it to what’s now called the Vatican Court of the Pigna.
Ask yourself, why do Popes use pine cones which symbolize the solar god Osiris?
Revelation 13 says that Satan the dragon gives authority to the antichrist beast.
The Bible calls Satan the great dragon, who deceives the world.
“So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.” Revelation 12:9
Revelation 13 tells us that antichrist beast is empowered by the dragon to deceive the world.
“So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?” Revelation 13:3
Ask yourself, why does the Catholic Church use images of the dragon which represents Satan?
Friend, it’s obvious that the Roman Catholic Church is worshiping other gods, which is forbidden by the Bible.
God’s 1st commandment says “You shall have no other gods before Me.” Exodus 20:3
The Roman Catholic Church and the Pope have fulfilled many Bible prophecies, as the antichrist beast of Revelation.

Thanks, David for this knowledge is new to me and I’m very grateful for people like you who speak truth. I for years grew up as a Sunday worshipper and was told that my church fall under the RCC. So I have made that change in my life to follow God and not man and his pagans.
Um….you sound like you need some mental help. Some of the stuff you said is pretty outlandish. I’m sad for you. Where did you get your information? The Catholic Church has very good reasons for everything they do and believe. None of it is anti Christian or against the Bible. You just have to be willing to learn more about the faith and ask true conservative Catholic Educators and Clergy. My children will KNOW their apologetics and catechism. The more I dig deeper into my faith, the sadder I feel for those who are barely scratching the surface of what Christianity has to offer. It’s like the Christianity that most people follow and believe is on the understanding and belief level of what we teach pre-school children about our faith. It’s great and all but it’s not enough to get them through the really tough times, the stuff adults have to deal with.
Some of the stuff I said is pretty outlandish? If I proclaimed to be God, would that be outlandish? If I proclaimed to be Jesus Christ in the flesh, would that be outlandish? If I, a man, proclaimed to forgive sins, would that be outlandish? If I, a man, proclaimed to provide salvation, would that be outlandish? Your Popes are the outlandish ones!
They claim to be the “Vicar of Christ”, the substitute Christ.
‘Antichrist‘ is a Greek word. ‘Vicar‘ is an English word. The words are synonymous.
They have exactly the same meaning.
‘Antichrist‘ translated into the English is ‘Vice Christ‘ or ‘Vicar of Christ.’
‘Vicar of Christ, rendered into the Greek is ‘Antichristos‘ = ‘Antichrist.’
The ordinary use of the word in the Greek is decisive on this point.
The Popes of Rome rose to power after the last Roman Emperor was removed in 476 A.D., fulfilling 2 Thessalonians 2:7
St Gelasius I, who was the Pope from 492 – 496, was the first Pope to be called the “Vicar of Christ“.
And since then each Pope has been declared the Vicar of Christ, as they have proclaimed to be Christ in the flesh.
Pope Boniface VIII said “We declare, assert, define and pronounce to be subject to the Roman Pontiff is to every creature altogether necessary for salvation… I have the authority of the King of Kings. I am all in all, and above all, so that God Himself and I, the Vicar of Christ, have but one consistory, and I am able to do almost all that God can do. What therefore, can you make of me but God?” Pope Boniface VIII, Papal bull Unam sanctam, 1302 A.D.
Pope Pius IX said, “I alone… am the successor of the apostles, the vicar of Jesus Christ. I am the way, the truth, and the life…” Pope Pius IX , History of the Christian Church, by Henry Charles Sheldon, p. 59.
Pope Pius X declared, “The Pope is not simply the representative of Jesus Christ. On the contrary, he is Jesus Christ Himself, under the veil of the flesh. Does the Pope speak? It is Jesus Christ who is speaking, hence, when anyone speaks of the Pope, it is not necessary to examine but to obey.” Pope Pius X, Evangelical Christendom, Vol. 49, Jan 1. 1895 A.D., p. 15, “the organ of the Evangelical Alliance,” published in London by J. S. Phillips.
Pope Pius XII said, “…recognize the Holy, Catholic, Roman Church to be the only true Church of Jesus Christ, outside of which neither sanctity nor salvation can be found. Call them to the unity of the one fold, granting them the grace to believe every truth of our holy faith and to submit themselves to the Supreme Roman Pontiff, the Vicar of Jesus Christ on earth.” Pope Pius XII, The Raccolta, Benzinger Brothers, Boston, 1957 A.D., No. 626.
The position of Antichrist is not just one man, it is a position, like the President of the United States or the King of England.
The Vicar of Christ, the Vice-Christ, the Antichrist, the Popes of Rome, presents himself in the stead of the true Christ and must therefore be characterized by deception, dissimulation and counterfeit.
The Popes of Rome fulfill Bible prophecy as the Little Horn of Daniel 7, the Son of Perdition of 2 Thessalonians 2, the antichrist beast of Revelation 13, and the Roman Catholic Church is the apostate Harlot of Revelation 17.
This Bible study proves that fact http://christianitybeliefs.org/end-times-deceptions
Your article has some good points. “Vicar” does not mean “vice Christ”, though. Its root is “vicarius”, meaning “substitute”. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/vicar
I also question your assertion that “vatican” means “vatis (divining)” and “can (serpent)”. What is your source?
You’re right Jack, the word “Vicar” means substitute. So the “Vicar of Christ” means “substitute Christ.”
“anti” doesn’t just mean “against.” It also means “in place of” or “substitute”
‘Antichrist‘ is a Greek word. ‘Vicar‘ is an English word. The words are synonymous.
They have exactly the same meaning.
‘Antichrist‘ translated into the English is ‘Vice Christ‘ or ‘Vicar of Christ.’
‘Vicar of Christ, rendered into the Greek is ‘Antichristos‘ = ‘Antichrist.’
The ordinary use of the word in the Greek is decisive on this point.
As for “vatican” means “vatis (divining)” and “can (serpent)”. you can reference:
http://www.mindserpent.com/American_History/religion/pope/rc_images.html
What I would focus on is the description of the antichrist beast in Revelation 13. Verse 2 and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. Verse 4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast.
Satan is the dragon, the serpent. The Popes of Rome are empowered by the serpent and they worship him. Which is why they have the serpent on their crests.
“Antichrist” is, in English, one who is against Christ. “Vicar” is one who represents Him–presumably “pro-Christ”, a deputy. If the pope is anti-Christ, he’s not fulfilling his role as deputy. Please let me know if you have an authoritative source for your translation.
Likewise: I’m on board with “vatis” translated as “prophecy” or some form thereof. But “can” is nowhere officially translated as “serpent”. The link you provided repeats but does not substantiate your claim.
Again: I appreciate the resources you’ve compiled, but I almost cited your interpretations without looking them up myself. I’m glad I didn’t. I hope no one else does.
For the word antichrist, Strong’s says αντι anti an-tee’ – a primary particle; opposite, i.e. instead or because of (rarely in addition to):—for, in the room of. Often used in composition to denote contrast, requital, substitution, correspondence, etc.
Not sure where you got the word ‘deputy’ from.
So the Popes are an opponent of the Messiah, they are against Christ, as they have claimed to be Christ in the flesh, they claim to be His replacement, His substitute. But Scripture never declares that a man takes His place on earth.
As for the word ‘can’, like I said, you only have to look at Revelation 13 to see that the Popes of Rome are empowered by the dragon, the serpent of old, Satan. They use the dragon in their crest. They have serpents on their crosier.
You can look at the word Kukulkan (/kuːkuːlˈkän/) (“Plumed Serpent”, “Feathered Serpent”) is the name of a Maya snake deity that also serves to designate historical persons. So Kan points to a snake diety.
In Yucatec the name is spelt K’uk’ulkan (/kuː kuːlˈkän/) and in Tzotzil it is K’uk’ul-chon (/kuːˈkuːl tʃʰon/).[10] The Yucatec form of the name is formed from the word kuk (feather) with the adjectival suffix -ul, giving kukul (feathered),[11] combined with can (snake),[11] giving a literal meaning of “feathered snake”.
If you don’t accept that ‘can’ means serpent, that’s fine. It doesn’t change anything. The Popes of Rome fulfill the description of the antichrist beast of Revelation 13. http://christianitybeliefs.org/end-times-deceptions
And countless saints testified that the Popes of Rome are the antichrist of prophecy, many who were killed for their witness.

Thanks, David.
I do think interpreting “can” as “serpent”–from Latin, mind you–is unfounded. I would drop that assertion completely, as it weakens an otherwise valid case.
Same with “vicar” meaning “anti-“, as if a substitute (or “deputy”) were inherently against the one he represents. No. You’re using one definition of the prefix, then switching it for the other, opposite definition. Christ was our substitute, so by your definition he was anti-human. That’s clearly unwarranted.
The better case is simpler: the Pope has unrighteously interposed himself between humans and God.
Thanks for your perspective Jack. I understand about the word ‘can’, but ‘vicar of Christ’ clearly means ‘substitute Christ’, which is ‘antichrist’. If one claims to be Christ, they are denying the true Christ. If one claims to be God, they are denying the true God.
Either way, I’m sure we agree: Christ has no one vicar. All of His people represent him, for better or worse.
Agreed, and fyi, I updated the page to remove the ‘can’ part and let the other information stand on it’s own, as to not cause people to stumble over the ‘can’ part.
You, Sir, are an honorable man. God bless you and your work.
Thank you Jack. Please pray for Catholics to see the truth so that they have a direct covenant relationship with the Father through the Son alone.

Either way, it’s odd that the Vatican has dedicated its real estate and clothing to ornately rendered pagan symbols.
While I applaud its firm pro-life stance, I recognize that rat bait is probably 99% nutritious.
I know of protestant and evangelical churches that deal in this kind of imagery (and false gospel) to a much less obvious extent. I suspect it’s widespread. Just goes to show the need to trust in Jesus alone, and let human creeds and organizations fall where they may.
Thanks for compiling all of this information, David. Ephesians 5:11.
Hi all, I am currently readind a book called the two babylons by joshua hyslop. It’s a hard read but interesting. It goes to the root of where apostasy began with Nimrod and his wife Semiramis. The book also exposes the Catholic church as pagan. It is a must to read!
With regards to End times the Catholic church is the woman that rides the beast of revelation and the Roman emire is the beast. I had learned this from the prophet Elijah whom is mentioned in the book of Malachi chater 4 verse 5. This man is Herbert w Armstrong who had revealed the truth of the beast through the Holy Spirit. He calculated the number of the beast and also knew that Greek language (which the bible was written in) had numerical relation to the Greek alphabet. After calculating he came up with Latinos which signify a Latin man or latinium from where the Romans derived their origin and language. Mr Armstrong has given me the knowledge to understand end time prophecy and I am very aware of how things will play out in these latter days. I hope to have fled spiritual Babylon by the time the great tribulation arrives and be standing in the holy place! Who so readeth let him understand! My friends pay attention to Matthew 24 amongst many other scripture and increase you knowledge because many will be destroyed because of lack of it. My faith is in RastafarI whom is the Christ returned. Psalms 87 read carfully and ask questions then read revelation 14 where God counts and write upon the people in Zion. Hope this makeks sense to who ever takes time to read
