Thank you for reading this Bible study on Roman Catholic Beliefs
If you disagree with an explanation, please provide scriptural evidence for your position.
Just saying that you disagree, or that your Priest, the Pope, or a top radio/TV preacher teaches differently, is not enough.
For we must rely on scripture and the historical fulfillment of prophecy, not on
speculations that have no proof.
The Word of God is our final authority, not any man.

I admire your faith and love for the Lord .
With all respect , I have some doubts :
1) ancient Jews were fond of relics , even those coming from corpes ( although a person was supposed to be get impure when touching one ) . See for instance 2 Kings 13;21
2) It seems very difficult to established some views that are shared by most christians relying only on the bible . I.e : the sanctity of life as opposed to abortion , the exclusivity of marriage as opposed to polygamy , the Trinitarian God as opposed to Arianism . Some churches and pastors seem to have diffferent positions on these issues . How should we do to interpret the Bible on our own in the right way? Would any personal interpretation always fall short and make injustice to the text? Shouldn’t we look into what the early Christian writers understood about the Bible to assure continuity of belief with early christians?
3) The story of the conversion and baptism of Cornelius and his household is recorded in Acts 10:1-11:18. But a household in Palestine in the First Century AD would include Slaves , children and babies . Does this mean that baptizing infants and babies is allowed?
3) The Bible was put together by Bishops in the third century . Before that books like the “letter of clement” were read in the house-churches. Some books of the canonical Bible were written two generations after Jesus death . Does this mean that early Christians were not Biblical Christians?
4) Reading the New Testament seems Paul requires the aid of Oral Tradition (2 Thess. 2:15). Moreover, the Apostle here points to the scriptures which Timothy was taught in his infancy. But a good part of the New Testament was not written in his boyhood . It would seem Paul is refering to the scriptures of the Old Testament , which Timothy and Luke and most of early christians, read in the Greek , the so called Septuagint (LXX) .
5) Our current translations of the O.T are based in the Masoretic hebrew versions . But those , with their system of marks to indicate the vowels, come from the year 600 or 700 AD the earliest . How can we be sure that the those sages didn’t commit errors . Wouldn’t be the greek version of the OT , dating from 300 BC, more reliable?
Thanks in advence for your attention . Sorry if you find grammatical errors , but my native language is Spanish .
Best regards ,
Alec
Wow! I had no idea how well history fit into bible prophecy concerning the Papacy/RCC. I have been completely led astray by current protestant teaching that holds most of prophecy for the future instead of already fulfilled. I’m glad that through the providence of God i was led to this site. Thanks for the information and analysis.

That’s awesome that you can see the truth about what prophecy is proclaiming. It’s a simple narrative. The antichrist Popes proclaim to be God, to be Jesus Christ in the flesh, to forgive sins and to provide salvation. All of those things are blasphemous and they are anti-christ!
But antichrist doesn’t just mean ‘against Christ’; it means ‘in place of Christ; and that is exactly what the title of the Popes, the Vicar of Christ, means.
The antichrist Pope is the leader the harlot church of Revelation; who has revered (mark on forehead) and obeyed (mark on right hand, actions) the antichrist Pope is killing over 50 million saints.
Here is a Revelation Timeline Decoded study series, which explains the fulfillment of Revelation; and how the Roman Emperors, Roman Popes and Roman Jesuit Generals; have all been used by Satan to war against Messiah and His saints. http://revelationtimelinedecoded.com
Prophecy can be difficult to understand. I did not understand it very well until I got a CI Scofield KJ Study Bible, where one studies Dispensationally. This clarified the true meanings of much of prophecy for me. Especially the Daniel and Revelation, as well as some of the NT prophecy. I suggest it would do the same for all true believers; my Bible studies have also strongly affirmed that the KJ AV is God’s preserved Word, as He promises in the OT and NT. So, that is my suggestion about clarifying the meaning of the Scriptures and especially prophecy. I have not seen Scofield wrong once. I also study my pastor’s sermons, David Cloud ( http://www.wayoflife.org😉 and my favorite Charles Haddon Spurgeon. Plus Matthew Henry.
All the true believers I know are very old school, and conservative. See Mathew 7:13, 14 for the true way of life in Christ, versus all false religions. And Ephesians 2:8-9 for grace by faith in Christ. Then, 9-10, good works are the fruit ( result, ) not the root or cause of true salvation. I believe if a ten year old sinner who was repentant can understand, repent and believe in Christ, it is certainly not difficult or complicated.
Leicia, the CI Scofield KJ Study Bible teaches false, futuristic prophecy explanations.
It teaches a futuristic 70th week of Daniel, which is wrong, as Messiah died in the 70th week as the Passover Lamb which ratified the everlasting covenant. Here’s a study series which proves that the 70th week of Daniel was already fulfilled, and there will be no future 7-year tribulation period. http://70thweekofdaniel.com
Scofield taught that most of Revelation is fulfilled during the last few years, which is wrong; as most of it’s already been fulfilled during the last 1,900 years. Here’s a Revelation Fulfillment Summary study. http://revelationtimelinedecoded.com/revelation-fulfillment-timeline-summary/
