Thank you for reading this Bible study on Roman Catholic Beliefs

If you disagree with an explanation, please provide scriptural evidence for your position.

Just saying that you disagree, or that your Priest, the Pope, or a top radio/TV preacher teaches differently, is not enough.

For we must rely on scripture and the historical fulfillment of prophecy, not on
speculations that have no proof.

The Word of God is our final authority, not any man.

Mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you in Jesus name!

  1. This is a very heretical web site with false information. It’s a deception because it’s not about Roman Catholic Beliefs. It’s about what Protestants believe that Roman Catholics believe. It is a Roman Catholic-bashing web site.

There are other Catholics besides Roman Catholics. Roman is a Rite of The Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. There are many other Rites. Those other Rites, who are in Communion with Rome, believe everything that The Holy Roman Catholic Church believes and teaches.

Please remove this web site!! I will pray for you in my Rosary intentions!!!

    • Kristi, heresy means that it’s against Scripture. The home page of this website features quotes from Popes, which are contrary to Scripture. So it is the Popes who are heretical. And Catholics follow the teachings of the Popes, so this website represents what they believe.

I do not belong to a Protestant church, for they follow the teachings of Rome too. I am simply a follower of the Messiah of Scripture.

Praying the rosary is blasphemy. You’re praying to Mary, but there is only One Intercessor, our Messiah. You’re making vain repetitions “But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do…” —Matthew 6:7. https://www.jesus-is-savior.com/False%20Religions/Roman%20Catholicism/rosary_is_blasphemy.htm

If you’re really searching for truth, then you will want to read these studies:

      • You are taking various Holy Father’s quotes out of context.

Praying The Rosary is not blasphemy. We, Catholics, venerate Mary. We do not worship Her. This link explains the difference between dulia, hyperdulia, and latria: http://www.ewtn.com/v/experts/showmessage_print.asp?number=388983&language=en And, there is no “vain repetition” when praying The Most Holy Rosary of The Blessed Virgin Mary.

And, Protestant churches do not follow the teachings of Rome!! If they did, they would be Catholic and not Protestant. Protestants are ALL Christians who are not Catholic or Orthodox.

        • Your Popes have proclaimed that Mary was sinless, which is a lie, as all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.

Your Popes have proclaimed that Mary was a virgin her whole life, which is a lie, as Scripture testifies that she had other children.

Your Popes have proclaimed that Mary is the Intercessor, which is a lie, as Scripture proclaims that there is only one Intercessor, one Mediator, Messiah.

Your Popes have proclaimed that people are saved by Mary, which is a lie, as Scripture proclaims that people are only saved through Messiah.

Mary is dead. She is in the grave, awaiting her Messiah to return; and then she and the other saints who have passed away, will be gathered together with Her Messiah.

I suggest you reread the Gospel and New Testament; which testifies to all of these things.

Protestant Churches do follow the teachings of Rome; as they observe Easter, which is based on the pagan fertility goddess, thus the eggs and rabbits; instead of the Father’s Holy Feast Days of Passover, Unleavened Bread and First Fruits. They observe Christ-mass, instead of the Father’s Holy Feast of tabernacles, as Messiah was born in the fall, not the winter. http://comeoutofher.org

    • Thank you for your comment Jerry. I am aware that Doug Batchelor is SDA. Even though I am not SDA, I used this video because it teaches truth about why the Protestant Reformers left the Catholic Church, because what the Popes teach is contrary to Scripture.

So even though I don’t agree with some of what SDA Pastors teach, this video is useful for this purpose. Sadly, most Protestant Pastors do not teach these things. They do not protest against the harlot Roman Catholic Church or the antichrist beast Popes of Rome.

If you know of a better video to use, to make the points that Doug made, please let me know.

      David
